CYON (Creative Youth Cultural Group) is the first Youth Folkloric organisation established by Creative Youth Organisation Nepal in Nepal since 2007.Although it has been operating from 2005 as a college and school dance group, it was officially launched in 2007 under government of Nepal. Since then, it has organized and participated in several local and international folk dancing festivals and made several cultural research as well as organized many cultural exhibition. We have been performing Traditional Folk Dance, Traditional Folk Music. |

CYON Cultural Group is one of the most effective non-profit organisations in Nepal, which promotes preservation of intangible cultural heritage and folk art. It is the only organisation with cultural library and resources in Nepal. All the members are from different backgrounds and races which has made us an organisation with diverse people and culture. With the kind support of Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), it has added more publications and materials in 2009. |

Creative Youth Cultural Group has been known for its work and will be working towards promoting Nepali culture and tradition throughout the world.
As per CYON cultural group it will establish a cultural village for every citizen of the world to share their culture and to know Nepali culture.
Creative Youth Organisation Nepal is working in the field of preservation of intangible cultural heritage through youth mobilization. CYON also works on Environment preservation and restoration, youth empowerment and social issues. Our main missions on establishing Cultural Group are as follows:
v Preservation and Promotion of folk art and culture.
v Promoting folk art through participation in international festivals and events.
v Creating markets for Nepali traditional handicrafts.
v Organizing international cultural festival in Nepal and promoting Nepali art, culture and tradition and cultural tourism.
v Working with different cultural bodies and agencies nationally and internationally to achieve goal.
v Making strong agenda addressing cultural issues and their restoration.

· Dance for help (A fund raising Event by Help Nepal Network), 2008.
· Creative Youth National Wide Fundraising through Cultural shows 2008 for flood victims.
· Creative Youth Forum Cultural Awareness Week from 01-24 to 01-29 2008 in Bhaktapur, Nepal
· WEDC Bhaktapur based cultural awareness program for Women rights. (Musical Act for awareness on how negative things in culture are affecting women in Nepali society).
